Unit 5 Projects

This is my bust, I started off with a small cube and wanted to kind of make it look like a sculpture being made. It was difficult to get the shape in the beginning of the head and body, and I ended up scraping it due to the face being extremely difficult to make with this small of a bust. It is inspired by a sculpture of a man sculpting himself and I thought it looked cool.

This is my 2 in 1 current artist inspired and mug for the wellness center. It is inspired by the Grateful Dead original skull with a red and blue personal twist on it. I wanted to add dancing bears on it as well but realized that I'm not the best artist, so I stuck with the mug you see here. The hardest part of this mug was probably the art in the front and the sculpting of the skull, it was difficult to paint on it as well because I don't usually paint much. All together this was a fun piece.

This is my choice project that I didn't have time to complete. It is supposed to be a music box jewelry holder, and my idea was to have the record player spot open up to be a box and the big music projector was going to be made into a necklace holder with little holders coming out of it. It was difficult to keep the music projector standing up and I had to keep trying to making it smaller and lighter or else it would have fallen.

This is my second monster I made for the kids. I didn't know where to put this on my website so I put it here. This is a 2 headed dragon with no legs and it is based on a kids drawing. This was not to difficult to make other than the wings which kept falling and I thought they were going to brake. I'm not sure if the kid ever got their monster but I hope they did.
